During this course, you will strengthen the writing skills you mastered in English Composition I. In this class, the focus for your ideas will stem from discussing major literary periods; composing analytical and argumentative essays about literature; recognizing the primary features and conventions inherent to a variety of literary forms and genres, including the short story, drama, poetry, and the novel; and defining a variety of literary terms. This course will also introduce students to the basics of literary theory.
MU128 “History of Rock and Roll” will survey the different genres of Rock music in the United States through out the Twentieth Century using an historical approach. Lectures will include listening to and analyzing music examples in relation to the social, technical and historical trends.
